Hobel Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 is there a way to save the MFD selection, it is very annoying when I switch from A/G to A/A and flipped everything is reset. example: 1
Exorcet Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 I know there is a SET button for AA radar BVR modes for each weapon, which allows you to save the default range, azimuth, etc. I don't know of a way to save MFD states based on mode in the Hornet though. It might have to wait for the DTC. One last possibility is that the plane saves based on last use, but this isn't modeled (yet). The F-16 works this way and it's quite nice, so I'd be kind of surprised if other fighters don't. Swift. Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 You can't make 'sets' for the formats like you can with F16. However the current behaviour isn't quite correct. The Left DDI shouldn't switch when switching master modes iirc, so in effect only the right DDI changes. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2

I really hope this behavior can be implemented, because as it is this is one of the most annoying things about using hornet. 3

If enough people post about it as a bug with documentation maybe it can be changed

I've asked around and so far haven't found anything concrete. One person said it dates back to ED using the logic of old Litening equiped Spanish hornets, but most people seem to have heard it from someone, who heard it from someone. I've also looked around the Hornet bug forum and haven't found anything yet, and Nineline isn't aware of this particular report, though I wouldn't expect him to be aware of every single report in all of DCS. I don't think this DDI behavior is reported yet, but I deeply hope it has been or will be, if it's true. This left DDI not changing behavior would drastically decrease how annoying the hornet is to use. Edited April 16, 2022 by StarLiner

The problem is a lot of the people who once cared and reported these things have since moved on now that it's become clear ED aren't going to fix these issues. 2 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
