For some reason I can't get George to even look at where I'm tell him. I've got my boresight aligned, and when I tell him to look at a BMP that I can see with my naked eyes just 3km away he keeps slaving to where I'm looking then targets that are over 10km away. This make the game impossible to play and the apache practically useless without a huma CPG. Please fix this.

George is looking where I tell him to, use up short in the AI menu and look where you want him to scan.

Could he be prioritizing the targets further away due to perceived "threat level"? Currently, George will list targets in order of what he thinks is the most dangerous(How he determines this, i have no clue). Not in order of distance.

George's target list still needs a lot of work(vehicle type categories, vehicle identification, estimated range, etc.) Sometimes you just have to bring up his TADS video on one of your screens and scroll through his target list to find exactly what you're looking for. Clumsy, for sure, but i haven't noticed him missing targets completely.
