FalcoGer Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 When placing waypoints down, they are always forced some distance above the ground. That is annoying, I want to place my waypoints on the ground, at 0ft. I would like that to be an option.
Furiz Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Simply type 0 at the waypoint altitude in ME, it wil place it on the ground lvl.

Exorcet Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 That's because the ground is 70 ft above seal level at that point. Type 0 for altitude and the waypoint will be on the ground exactly. 1 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files

Harker Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I would still prefer that all waypoints default to ground elevation, unless manually changed, or keep the previous WP's elevation, if that was manually changed. If no manual changes are done, then the default should be the ground elevation.Much more logical than having it be 2000m, which is an arbitrary number, from what I can tell. 2 The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. If you're 100% sure you're using AGL, then it sounds like a bug. Otherwise, if you use ASL, typing 0 will then change it to the ground elevation at that point.
