Q for Server Admins: un-pause in spectator mode?

Greetings. I've been tinkering with the Server a bit remotely, connecting with Logmein. Per the FAQ, I've remapped Pause to the P key. If the Server takes an aircraft I can un-pause the sim, but cannot do it when the Server is spectating. So, is there any way un-pause the mission without the Server taking up an aircraft slot? Thanks in advance.

I have no problem unpausing the mission from spectator.

Anyway, I found a workaround for remote server admins. If the Server takes and aircraft, then un-Pauses the sim, they can hit Escape and hit the Spectate button, which will then free up the aircraft. A couple of more steps, but at least it prevents having to add another aircraft for the server slot, which will never be flown on a remotely administrated server.

We have S mapped. Once the mission is launched, I hit S and it starts. Nothing special.

i am using VNC to remote admin my server from my lap top............ however........ no matter what button i try to set as the pause button on my server. the only button that works is the pause break one. really making me mad :( anyone have any ideas? i need to do this because i dont have a pause break button on my laptop........ :(

So VNC works? I tried mstsc(windows remote desktop/terminal server client) and the screen is black where the 3d app runs. In other words, as soon as black shark displays the screen where clients are in slots, it goes black.

yes VNC works :) i have my black shark in windowed mode on my server.... i dont know if that makes a difference or not.....

I tried running BS from my desktop via my NetBook using TS and the app just crashes?????? Both systems are Windows XP Pro SP3.

dont know Tango.... does anyone know though, how to get pause to work in the server over VNC?

We have to join into a client on the server and unpause from there..using VNC , we can see the direct3d rendered windows (cannot in mstsc or dameware).

We have remapped the pause command to rctrl-Z

I have no problem unpausing from spectator mode as well. I use the pause key as well. I simply hit esc to view the scenery and then hit the pause button. It wont work if you dont hit esc first. If you want to go back to the aircraft selection screen, just hit esc again. Hope this helps.

navigate here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts

open the folder called 'ka-50', then copy the 'keyboard' folder

then to back to the aircraft directory, and open up the 'default' folder

then paste the keyboard folder and overwrite the existing one

my guess is that when new aircraft are added, they will have their own separate folder to keep the keyboard commands separated. the "default" folder is used when you have no selected an aircraft it seems
