Though i just tried on the marianas map (weapon range quick start mission). loaded up 4 Hellfires on each inner station (cause you spawn with only 6 total). Went to the target range (about 4km out) into a hover. was pretty high, about 500-600 feet AGL. Let George fire 4 missiles in LOBL, no problems. switched LOAL DIR and killed two targets. switched to LOBL and killed another. switched to LOAL LO and killed another. BUT: you have to meet all the weapon constraints!!! a PYLON LIM will prevent George from firing - as well as a BAL LIM i assume. And if you fire LOBL wait for missile SKR to detect laser energy (big "box") and then give him consent to fire. For LOAL i did put George to "free fire" (green) and nothing happened, then gave him "consent to fire" and he rifled a missile with lasing 2 seconds later (as intended). Remark: how do you look at the WPN page to check if George WASed the missiles? do you switch seats? because if you look at YOUR WPN page as pilot you will only see if you - as the pilot - WASed (checkered) the corresponding weapon! possible workaround for your "problem" see here
Zarma Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Watched your track (awful on screen as you are in VR, lots of head movements lol). - you are trying to kill a target behind a tree, I guess that's why George doesn't fire hellfire at start - if you WAS missile, George will de-WAS and master arm comes to your statut, "safe" at start - as you don't have the TADS as acquisition, you never know where George is looking. Trying to shoot without the big square is useless, he won't - George will never fire rockets alone. I might be wrong about this as I don't tend to watch tracks very often, but I do fly in VR. IIRC manually adjusting the view just once will interrupt the recorded head movements and leave you in manual view control for the rest of the track.

Zarma Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 (edited) strange because I never saw this behaviour. Usually it takes him 1-2 sec to fire. If he loses the target or I turn too much the nose and loose the big square during those seconds he won't fire. But most of the time, no problem at all with George.... But when I hit the unslave fct it has the behaviour you describe. (WAS off, master arm safe) And if the pilot WAS the weapon the CPG has WASed (except rockets) it will un-WAS it for the CPG. Try again and use the TADS as acquisition to see where your CPG is looking.
