I'm having regular crash to desktop after around 15-20 minutes. Sometimes it can be longer. Happens on all maps and aircraft that I have.

It's on the steam version of the game, and with no mods.

Happy to upload any info but not the most PC savvy.

Any help or advice would be great.

Try this:

Create a bootable MemTest86 device (USB drive or CD) : https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
Boot up the MemTest86 device on your PC. When the MemTest menu appears, press “S” key to start the memory test.

In MemTest86, RAM errors show up in red. If you get no error after a one-hour test, consider that your RAM is OK.

I've just completed this test with no issues detected.

Any other thoughts on what the issue could be?

Maybe try lowering the XMP profile of your RAM (if you're using XMP). More radical: disable XMP and see if DCS keeps crashing.

I'm sorry Flappie but this is not a RAM issue, nvwgf2umx.dll and the crash stacks look to be part of the Nvidia drivers so it seems his GPU drivers are bricking themselves running DCS.

I'd suggest a DDU (Display Driver Unistaller) under Windows Safe Mode, reinstall the GPU drivers using the latest stable release from Nvidia. Hopefully that'll solve the problem.

I'm not saying I'm 100% sure it's a RAM issue, but I've seen it happen a number of times with the exact same symptoms. An example here.

Of course, at this point, trying DDU is a good idea as well.

I raised a ticket and they had me roll back the GPU drivers which worked until today. I've attached the latest log.

Try this:

Go to %localappdata%\NVIDIA\DxCache and delete all files you can find (NVIDIA shader cache).
- If the previous path leads you nowhere, try this one: %programdata%\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache
Go to %localappdata%\Temp and delete all folders starting with "DCS".

If the game keeps crashing after this, try a lower XMP stage in the BIOS, or simply disable XMP.

Do you still recommend changing XMP in the BIOS?

Since you've already tried to fix it by changing the graphics driver, it's time to try and disable XMP in the BIOS, yes.

I don't think this is a RAM issue at all. I run DCS on Steam as well and since the last open beta update my RAM usage (16GB) has gone up to 98% when running any scenario, any aircraft. DCS used to be incredibly stable for me in the past running open betas. Its gotta be something with the latest update, I am getting crash log text like the one below constantly now and never did before, haven't changed settings or anything.

I am going to test my ram just to make sure, will report back.

**Update: Tested system RAM, everything good. Updated to latest 512.95 Nvidia driver and crashing seems to have stopped. I am not sure why but these issues were almost certainly brought on by the update 2.7.14.242228 on May 25th, the previous update to that was fine. Oh well...latest graphics drivers seem to sort it out.
