Change the Z position of the mouse pointer in VR.

Hello,

I would like to change the Z position of the mouse pointer in VR to be higher than the center like (thx paint!) :

 

 

I'm not using a mouse to point, but only my head.

I use Joy2key to recentre my mouse mapped to a button on my HOTAS. The centre position can be customised above or below centre if you choose.

It can also be done in VAICOM Pro

I am sure there are other tools.

Of course the simplest way is to just move the mouse once you start the mission to the position you want and then just move your head.

I also can use the trim controls to be able to move the mouse up, down, left & right using a modifier in Joy2Key to get to those awkward to look at switches.

If you do want to try Joy2Key this is the option you need to set mouse coordinates (50,50 is centre)

Yes when I say it can be done in VAICOM I guess that is actually standard Voice Attack functionality I am referring to.

On round start when u still have mouse in hands press LALT+C adjust mouse position and again press LALT+C. Mouse cursor should stay where it was on youre HMD and move with youre head. If its not LALT+C look for Toogle mouse cursor option

On round start I climb into my "pilot" seat, don my headset and don't intend touching the mouse again until I climb out of my (virtual) burning wreck!

So bind it to any other NON-MOUSE button on youre "pilot" seat rig, move head when cursor isnt moving to youre center, and again "lock" cursor.
