P3CFE Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) I am trying to map my controls as realistic as possible, but the Y axis of the Tads "Manual tracker thumbstick" is counter intuitive for me. If i push the thumbstick up,.. the Tads "camera fov" moves down, and when pushing down , the camera moves up. I also see the animated thumbstick on the right handgrip going up and the Tads camera moving down.. is this normal in the Apache ?? I know i can reverse the axis in controls, and i did..but the animation of the thumbstick tells me that it should not be reversed. So the question i have is: Is the Tads Manual tracker thumbstick y axis direction, correctly animated in the game..? Thanks for the Answer (s) already. Edited May 26, 2022 by P3CFE 1
Kharrn Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 good question. Noticed that too but forgot about it. @Raptor9 @kgillers3 @NineLine Can you give us a quick answer on this please? much appreciated thank you! K
spikenet Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 I wondered about this, watching casmo https://youtu.be/HC1B8oVBT_c?t=235 it looks to me like it is correct as is and the way he is using it. Keen to see the official response
ED Team Raptor9 Posted May 27, 2022 ED Team Posted May 27, 2022 The Y-axis on the real-life MAN TRK thumbforce controller is inverted. If you want the TADS to slew down, you push it up like pushing the nose down by applying forward cyclic. 4 Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.
