Possible Solution to display all Apache MFDs ?

Recommended Posts

As you can see, the AV8 offers the possibility to switch its MFDS on and off with a key command.

does anyone know how this is implemented in AV8 so that you can adopt this for Apache?
or can the team ask Razbam how they did it?

So it wouldn't matter if you sit in the front or back of the Apache they can fade in the MFDs as needed

Currently it is so that the CPG MFDs overwrites the MFD of the pilot always

with this solution here you could easily avoid the problem

It looks like the AV-8B keypresses fire the commands "iCommand_UV26_PowerCover" and "iCommand_UV26_BITCover" which look like they may be Ka-50 commands? I don't own the Ka-50, so I'm not entirely sure about that. But it would indicate that Razbam has done some hijacking of other internal DCS World commands.

I don't know a lot about computer programming, I'm just good at poking things, but everything I've seen looks like the AV-8B MFD toggling happens on the backend and not in any way that we can edit. Even if we could find a way to trigger it in the Apache, we don't want to hide all exports, we want to selectively hide some and not others. That isn't something that's done in the Harrier.

That with the ka50 is a good hint I will take a look.  And now that I think about it, there is also something in the viggen

But I also think that is unfortunately anchored in the background as you say.

How do you mean that exactly?  In av8 there are 2 bindings so I can choose which mfd should be displayed and which not.

And that would be what we also urgently need in apache

It's hardcoded.

So again, asked nicely, would it be possible for ED to just add what modules like AV8 already have?

that would be a small but really big thing for Apache.🙂

@NineLine

It should switch MFDs, when you switch seats IMO
