Hello,

I have a problem with Module Manager in DCS World. I have made a new installation of DCS World after completely uninstalling the previous one. When accessing the module manager, the following message appears:

Wait your answer. Thanks you very much.

Here my dcs.log file ...

Hi. Unfortunately your dcs.log does not show anything abnormal. From your prior post:

"have made a new installation of DCS World after completely uninstalling the previous one."

When you say "completely uninstall" .. did you deleted the previous C:\Users\imo42\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ folder too?  or did you kept it intact?

I doubt that your problem is within the DCS program folder, since you just installed it anew ... so, if you kept the old /saved games/ folder, in that case I'd like to try renaming the old "C:\Users\imo42\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\" to say "openbeta.bak"  ... then run DCS and the sim will create a new default C:\Users\imo42\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ ... you may have to enter your user credentials. Can you then enter the Module Manager? .. if yes, then the problem lies within your old /saved games/ folder.

No when I say a new installation is because I formated my ssd and delete the saved games dcs folder. With 0 previous files I have a new installation

OK, can you please confirm that your DCS new install is intact, by running a DCS repair procedure?   Here is a description of how to proceed:

The guide is quite long .. you need to do the part titled "Repairing DCS World:"

I have just carried out a repair like the one indicated in the guide and it is still the same, without being able to access the module manager

Ok, I'm sorry that I haven't been able to help you ... for sure it is a strange case, as you seem to have a brand new DCS program install, no user Mods, a brand new Saved Games folder, and yet the issue persist.

I have an old install (can't remember when was the last time I did a new install), an old Saved Games folder, and a lot of User Mods active, and yet my Module manager works without a hitch 🤔

Seems you will have to create a Support Ticket at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/  .. hopefully they can solve this puzzle.

Best regards.

In other dcs.log I see this error:

It would help

Anti-virus and/or firewall blocking something perhaps?

How can I check this?

Seems too strange of a coincidence that you are both from spain … PM each other to check if you have the same internet provider, perhaps they are blocking traffic with some russian sites and it affects DCS?

The ED headquarters are in switzerland, I believe some of the updater servers are in russia.

So what we can do?

You could open a support ticket with ED. Another alternative would be if you have a friend or coworker with a different internet provider than yours, carry your pc to his home (just the Pc, no pheripherals, use the ones of your friend), and try the module manager there.

I will show the thread to our support team, but please let us know what region you are in.

Spain for example has some ISP's which have been creating problems connecting to DCS.

Our update server is in Europe.

this thread led me to believe that at least part of the dcs update network is in russia:

There has been difficulties with that region and the team have solved it so Ru and Ukraine can connect.

My region is Andalusia and my internet provider is Orange

you could try a free vpn and see if that allows you to circumvent the problem .. for example ProtonVPN is very good.

tried with protonvpn and nothing... didn't try hard.. just connected to first US server... but in any case it would be so slow to downlaod. Hope is fixed soon... as I wanted to try this free morning the SA map.
