Dr.Cure Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Evening fellow pilots I am here to ask a question regarding the RAM requirements for DCS VR in multiplayer servers. Unfortunately, my past gaming laptop with GTX1650 have been fried due to overheat on its motherboard (bad circulation I supposed). Thus, I decided to replace a new one with better requirements (still a gaming laptop) on RTX3070 (8 GB) + Ryzen 7 5800H + 32 GB RAM. Works well in singleplayer however, in multiplayer its taken quite some time to load. Any of you gentlemen here have suggestion or ideas concerning ram for vr in online server? any feedback is appreciated thank you very much. P.S = below is my VR graphic settings and I'm using a couple of mod as well to improve performance (ex. Kegety's shader mod and F14 VR friendly mod)nullnull Phantom Phorever
Gun Jam Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 I run 32gb a friend that I fly with also ran 32gb but found noticeable improvements by running 64. He uses monitor and Hp Reverb G1 sometimes. Based on his findings my next upgrade will include 64gb of ram. I would also upgrade to 2 m.2 drives one drive dedicated to the os and os type apps and the 2nd m.2 would be for dcs and other games... samsung 980 pros 1

A 32GB static page file??? I just let windows manage mine but keep it in the right place. 1 Nvidia RTX3080 (HP Reverb), AMD 3800x Asus Prime X570P, 64GB G-Skill RipJaw 3600 Saitek X-65F and Fanatec Club-Sport Pedals (Using VJoy and Gremlin to remap Throttle and Clutch into a Rudder axis)
