DmitriKozlowsky Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Problem is back. I thought I had it licked. But it is not. Rockets won't fire. Either by CPG or pilot override. To me! It is completely unpredictable and unreliable. I don't what conditions I am failing to meet for rockets to fire. Track is attached. This is a messed up implementation. Pilot should always be able to override fire control on gun and rockets. Right now I am unable to do so. AH64D_CPG_fail_to fire_rockets.trk
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 7, 2022 ED Team Posted July 7, 2022 Hi, your track does not play back correctly unfortunately, I see you crash. Things to check: Ensure you have master arm set to armed. check you have rockets selected rockets correctly, and you have selected the type on the rockets weapon page display If you are using trigger guard in special options ensure it is also not set safe. If you are using George in COOP mode ensure he is in rockets mode, and you have selected a target from the list. He will target you will be firing the rockets. I have tested and I am not seeing any issue when I try. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? DmitriKozlowsky Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 Well then the whole thing is one big mess! If the track cannot even play back reliably, then what is the point of posting. I replayed it three times. Two times it played correctly, as I recall it. One time track generated flight into terrain, which makes no sense.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 Probably the trigger guard is the issue. I have it binded. But as there is no positive feedback as to its state in cockpit. I can't state for sure whether its up or down.
Floyd1212 Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 If you have a 2-stage trigger on your cyclic, you can bind the opening of the trigger guard to the first stage, and the weapons fire to the second stage. Works every time. And, as BN mentioned, you can also disable the use of trigger guards completely in the Special Options menu for the module.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 I tried all that. Same same. No matter what I do, neither CPG nor me (pilot) cannot fire the rockets. Target in TADS, range about 500m, pilot WAS RCKT COOP, Trigger guard UP,ARM on, trigger fire with either 1st or 2nd detente. No fire. CPG states "Engaging" then does not fire.

And strangely it works for 99,9% of the players.... But yeah the module is really messed up when one does not understand how things work... 2
