Replaying this campaign again

Since the most recent campaign I've purchased (Hornet-related) seems to be kinda broken until the next patch, I've decided to once again jump into Zone 5.

This time around, though, I'm using the "Maverick and Goose" skin, for maximum realism . Sacrilege? Maybe. But damn fun! 

Now if I only could get my hands on good Iceman/Slider, Hollywood/Wolfman and ?*/Sundown skins. 

Edit: *according to the "Top Gun Wiki", Sundown's (LTJG Marcus Williams) pilot was Lieutenant Charles "Chipper" Piper

This is a great campaign to replay! Especially if you haven't played it since they updated the ai. It's certainly more challenging these days and even more fun!

That is very true. I am unable to kill Gator in the 1st event. I tried a few times the quick start mission. But it took me almost 6min. and all my fuel. Well, I guess I have to adapt my gameplan. But I don´t know how at the moment.

Also replaying, with a multi-sim twist this time. I changed the skins to VF-124 and use P3Dv5 to ferry back and forth to Miramar after each hop.  I guess Hammer got caught going ballistic with the Base Commander's daughter (Jenny Penjamin) so we all got booted off base..... 

Starting up in Miramar

Across the rocks, heading to Nellis

 

Landed at Nellis, just before the E-2

After the brief,  walk to the jets in DCS

RTB after a successful flight

 

Then its back to Miramar.....do it all again for the next mission.
