Jester AI style Door gunners and co pilot for better SA and immersion

Can the door gunners and copilot have a Jester AI like functionality where they call out traffic, friendlies, enemies, missiles etc? I feel this could make for a more immersive and realistic experience and help a lot better on the battlefield too.

The door gunners can have two different voices and can address themselves while talking to you over the radio like "Gunner left, I see an enemy ground unit, appears to be a tank at about 9 O clock of our position 2 miles away", or "gunner right, I spot a bogey high to our right closing fast, looks like a Mirage"

I feel this functionality is definitely needed for Huey pilots and adds for more use of all the AI ground crew as well as immersion

Your correct it would be nice to have but it will never happen sadly. We have been reporting bugs in the Huey for YEARS now and they will freely admit they know about them and just look at the last Beta Update fix report put out for all the things fixed and the Huey is not on the list.

 I have made missions where I use triggers for my door gunner to report 3 enemy insurgents on the port side then he fires on them. This is the only way to do this at this time. Sorry but I do not think it will ever happen for this Version of the Huey.

 ED knows from the sales of the Huey it is still popular. I hope they address the issues we have and keep turning in. We can only have faith in the someday fix to so many on the record bug reports like the crazy unreal body shake and the Skin defects from shiny body not the tail so your exterior look of the Huey is just bad.

I hope not to make you feel bummed out or discourage hope that ED is aware and has plans we know nothing about on this subject and to stay calm with patients. It's just been so long for a large group of HUEY DCS Pilots that are so in love with this CLASSIC model that I feel opened the door to the Militaries Combat Air Calvary and Life saving Combat Wounded Worrier Transport Of Hero's flown BY Hero's. The Huey is a Proven American \ Plus Allies Combat Asset of its time.

Very much agree with the above.

Also, when in the cockpit I would like to be able to see passengers in the back and see them get in and out.

Helicopter operations could be so much more immersive and attract more sales if more immersive detail was provided by the developers.

I had that Mod someone made with the 2 Different interiors with Nam type Soldiers in the back and the other one for Dustoffs with racks with 1 wounded Soldier in one of the racks.

It would be cool if you could pick up that group of Soldiers Empty Ship going to FULL and then drop them off going to EMPTY again and the same with the Dustoffs empty racks land the full racks and back to base then empty racks. I love the mods I need to reinstall them again just to look back and see a ship full of Nam type Soldiers is Awesome. That is why I made my Huey Dustoff Skins for download with old used gauze and blood on the floor for the Med Rack Mod. looks so good. I can Not remember the name of the Mod. I'll have to go search for it lol it's really cool.

Thanks.  The mod sounds great, but as a rule I don't do mods.  Shame the dev's can't produce this sort of thing as part of the basic model; just seems so obvious to me, same as having Jester style AI communications with all the crew seems obvious too.  Surely a bit more passion and love for the Huey by the dev's, as per suggestions in this thread, could bring so much more joy to the Huey and other helicopters too.

@Talisman_VR  Thank you I do agree. I never use to do mods But this one is just too good to pass up looking back into the Huey and seeing...

Also the Bug Fix made by ams999 that fixes the Huey Shinny Front body and dull tail to make the Huey look so bad is a MUST get and install to see the Skins correctly Highly Recommend

WOW that looks very interesting and realistic! I really hope if the UH-1 gets an update like the F-5 is in the coming future, they add capabilities like this! Imagine the immersion and possibilities with this

I believe on the Russian forums they actually posted that they will be working on animations of soldiers entering and exiting the Helicopters

They were planning on using the Mi-24 as a test bed module for this afaik, as the AH-64 was test bed for the new FLIR engine in the first place.

Lets just hope some work is coming to the huey again
