Pilot Placeholder??

Why is the F-18 pilot body not available in the F-16, F-14, etc if anything as a placeholder..?

This should be the easiest implementation in the game and is big for both 2D and VR users in terms of authenticity when flying.

It doesn't even have to be permanent but it's better than not having one since one is modeled already..

Appreciate you maybe frustrated by not having a pilot body yet in VR, as soon as they are ready they will be implemented.

I'm not frustrated, it's constructive criticism on a topic that seems to reappear constantly. It just seems like an extremely excessive amount of time to be flying some of your main airframes without a pilots body when one is currently available. 

That is like a day's work, and if there is something there.. they won't get pressured every week to put one in. lol.

Also I didn't post it in the F-18 subsection because it's more for the F-16 and F-14.

My bad, moved to wish list. 

Its not a days work unfortunately, and the project managers know best how to allocate dev time, pilot body is coming however for hornet and viper

Appreciate it. I didn't mean a days work literally, I meant it's a quick solution that would keep a lot of people happy. Thank you regardless Bignewy.

No worries, I get that you would like to have a stand in solution for now, but we would rather wait and add the high quality ones.

I agree. Aircraft should not fly without the pilot. Ever.

As for F-14, it's from 3rd party - HeatBlur - and they decided to make it full quality without doubling the work (which is not so easy as you imagine, they still need to make adjustment to the model size, shape, placing and animations connected to HOTAS movements) so they have not implemented placeholder pilot. It is planned however to hit this summer.

yeah I figured as much, I didn't know how much ED and HB work directly together when it comes to stuff like that. As they do add the content updates of all modules together etc.

Updates are all scheduled together to simplify updates, if not there will be one update everytime a third party makes some change, its no feasible
