Pappy2 Posted August 10, 2022 Author Posted August 10, 2022 Another problem with the tanks of the Iraqi MF1EQ skin
Flappie Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 I cannot find the first skin for French F1CT in current open beta. Is that a mod? The second skin is accurate, at least when it comes to 118-SW: I'll report the third, Iraqi skin. 1 ---

In the photo below, we see that noses (radome) are spare piece coming from other aircraft and they simply does not take time (and money) to repaint. Edited August 13, 2022 by sedenion 1
Flappie Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) Not official, yet it flew for the AdA in that state as you can see. I love this kind of details added to DCS. See what HB did for the Tomcat probe: you can now choose to remove it's door, because some IRL Tomcat didn't have them. I say we ask for the official one, and keep the green nose livery, for those who like spare parts like me. Edited August 13, 2022 by Flappie ---
Giskvoosk Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 there's a indexing error in livery's script: there's not such file as miragef1tank_CT_F in the skin-specific folder, instead its in the texture pool. change the false i highlight below to true will fix the problem 2
Pappy2 Posted August 17, 2022 Author Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) Thank you guys for working to take my observations into account. The skin in the first image is in the Mirage F1CT "ER 233 Savoie 100 years of recognition" Regarding the partly green nose of the F1B, in fact on some aircraft the nose cone is replaced by another. On some original photos, it may be green or blue but not the same color as the blue of the plane. Maybe the nose cone is composite and can't be repainted. Edited August 17, 2022 by Pappy2

Maybe they had more stock for green F1 than for blue ones? Thanks for providing the livery name. I'll have another look when I get back to my PC, unless someone else reports it in the meantime. 1 ---

The good answer were already provided, it is obviously a replaced and not repainted part from another aircraft. Mirage F1 had a long career, on the end, many aircraft was left on the grood to feed others with spare parts.
Pappy2 Posted August 18, 2022 Author Posted August 18, 2022 (edited) Hello "sedenion" Regarding the radome of the Mirage F1, it is larger than the black part, on the photos you can see the fixings (red) On this photo we could clearly see the radar which is protected by the radome. Indeed the mechanics have a strong idea to fix radomes which have different colors of the plane. Below are examples: Black and Green, Black and Blue, All Black, All Green......
