Aligning HMD in VR

Hi. I'm trying to get the HMD aligned in the hornet using VR and I'm not managing to do it. I first run the bit cycle test, and then when I have to align the cross in the hmd with the one in the hud, I do it as much as I can (considering that any heartbeat makes it impossible to be 100% still) and click the cage/uncage button, and I can't get to the next step. It always says ALIGN FAIL.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll try that. I thought I only had to press it.

If you would like also to know the procedure you'll find it on the DCS F18 Manual

\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Doc

from page 429

chapter - Helmet Mounted Display (HMD)

Thank you both, I've managed to do it.

You don‘t even have to be perfectly centered first, you can fine tune it right after with the TDC and then you just have to press the cage/uncage once to confirm for side and height and once for roll.

So what I noticed is that once you have centered the big cross and clicked and held the cage button the first time, then you have the two small crosses to align, and the cage/uncage button just cycles between vertical/horizontal alignment and roll alignment. So at that stage, you center the crosses properly, but cage doesn't actually "confirm". It just cycles between the two, and then once both X/Y and roll have been aligned, you just switch to another screen with the SCS (according to the manual), right?

I believe it saves when you press „align“ again but could be that you can simply switch the page as well.
