Hi,

I am not sure what causes some of my Black Shark crashes, where I hear a loud boom, maybe like it is being shot down, but maybe it is breaking. I will be flying along smoothly and at about medium speed, flying smoothly, straight, and BOOM (the sound is likle BOOM!) the Helo goes spiraling down as if it had just been shot down, blown up, or breaks. There is no recovery.

I have been told I maybe crashing the blades together.. I find that odd if I am handling the helo smoothly and cautiously with no sudden movements nor am I racing.

What is going wrong? :helpsmilie:

Thanx..

Hi Ramstein,

Vortex's question will help us help you, but yes, it is blades intersecting. I have had it happen to me with speeds of 200 or 220 km/h, it really depends on what you are asking the helicopter to do, even if it is smooth, you can smoothly move the blades so that they collide.

One of the things I am coming to realize is that I really don't need to go that fast, especially in combat. Going a little slower also gives you more time to assess the situation and shoot at the enemy. Of course some situations still warrant max speed, but for the majority of the time, there's no need to go too fast.

Best regards,

many missions tells you to maintain 220 km/h cruise speed..

It's probably blade colision, and you're not handling the chopper smooth enough ;)

I tell you I am going along smoothly and not fast.... and I just see no reason for anything to break... when I say smooth I mean flying even and not really even moving the stick,, just a Sunday cruise,, and not fast means maybe around 50% to 70% of it's top speed in sunny nice weather... then BOOM!!!

Maybe a gut full of collective? Kinda hard to say with the information given. Attach a trak to your next post and we can have a look.

It could be the blades hitting each other... I flew a little more and it did not happen..

BTW, how do I make a TRK of my flight? I mean is there a built in utility that I can use to make a TRK file for playback? or do I have to use a 3rd party program?

Thanx..

The track is always created. You just have to remember to save it at the end of the mission or it will get overwritten the next time you fly. There is a "save track" button on the debreifing screen at the end of a mission.
