For some reason liveries on aircraft placed in Bazar > Liveries fail the IC. Certain aircraft require liveries be inserted into this folder because they are not part of the coremods file structure i.e. Mi-8, E-2, MiG-29 etc. Obviously these aren't 'hacks' or cheats. In fact there's nothing you could place in the bazar > liveries folder that would enable cheating.

For next update could the liveries folder please be removed from the IC. It serves no purpose.

It sounds like these liveries are installed in the main DCS install. Have you tried installing them in Saved Games? My bazar liveries (including Mi-8, E-2, MiG-29) do not break IC.

They are installed in the main directory. There are certain aircraft you cannot install liveries into Saved Games for. Mostly AI aircraft and anything added to the game before the F/A-18C. These are failing IC. They shouldn't be. It's a bug.

Not so, every AI vehicle I've tried to add liveries for, works fine at /Saved Games, like this:

I wish users would stop crying "it's a bug" before truly checking the facts 😐

Not true. Even assets that use liveries in the Bazaar folder can be placed in the Saved Games directory, just as in Rudel's screenshot above. The Saved Games/Liveries folder is used for all liveries, regardless if it is normally found in Bazaar or CoreMods of the main install. I even have CV/N liveries and cockpit liveries in there.

I did not know this was possible, appreciate the correction. Many thanks to you both.

So even if you do load a user mission, and they recommend some skins and the skins instructions are to place them in the core, they can go in the Saved Games?

Didn't know that, so that so thanks guys. Now I can use the Livery Manager for all the liveries without a doubt!!!! 😄
