Laser Code Set to Zero at Start

When I look at the laser codes for TGP and LST they are set to zero, and I cannot change them back to 1688. The Kneeboard page shows the correct laser code of 1688 but once again I cannot change the code on the kneeboard either. I've tried with both GBU 10 and 12, and tried using ground crew to reload the bombs with no joy. This is after the latest update today.

To change the laser code on the kneeboard you need to have your jet cold (basically do it before you even start your startup-procedure)

If you want a different code for a hot start jet, you might change it in the mission editor or as stated in the post below, shut down the engine.

For the DED Page you need to be airborne to make changes to the Laser page. Codes in the DED page can not be changed on the ground

In the air does not work for me still same issue type in 1688 + ENT and it goes back to zero on DED page for laser. The only thing I can chage on this page is the laser on timer. I thought the whole purpose of having the abilities to change in the Kneeboard was due to the fact that the ground crew needed to set the bomb with the laser code? But in any case with a hot start the code should be set already.

Kneeboard is simulating the ground crew setting the code on the bombs.
Pod needs to be fully running (right hardpoint power on), make sure thats the case. Maybe check if you have it equipped in the first place😃

Will you are correct my hat is off to you. P.S. I had the bomb equipped 🤣

Powering up the TGP did allow me to change the laser code actually on the ground and would probably work in the air. Any case, I still feel there is a bug because in the past a hot start always had the laser coded set in the DED. If you watched WAGs video on changing the laser start timer he did not mention having to power on the TGP, and then setting the laser code on the ground or in the air. In fact what he showed was the codes already set in the DED, and how to change the timers for laser on.

Thanks for your help!
