skywalker22 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Current user's Logbook only records stats from single player. Wouldn't it be awesome if we have stats from multiplayer sessions as well? 4

While I would love to have it myself - I don't think it's a feature that ED considers worthy of their current development resources. I'm guessing it's more than just removing an IF statement as to whether the session is SP or MP. If not - and it really is that simple - please ED - allow a logbook in MP. I think it could have the additional benefit too of potentially discouraging some team killers. I don't get why fracticide is punished on SP. (After all - that's where I test a lot of my mission Dev stuff). It would make far more sense to have a MP logbook and fracticide penalizes your MP logbook. (Even better if server admin's had the option to restrict connections based on someone's multiplayer Fractiside/enemy kill ratio and decide if there's a minimum level that they will accept for client connections). 2

Your idea would work if the servers held those logs and the clients didn't change their callsigns. 1

Indeed, 1st of all, logbook should be some crypted file, instead of some simply editable in notepad file. That's the 1st think they should do.

I've turned my back on many PvP games that have sophisticated anti cheat systems however it seems those are very appealing to the most annoying kind of hackers that seem to say: here I am in spite of your efforts! I understand why ED hasn't gone this road yet. 2

So I would agree with you and ED to keep it simple. 2

There's no reason the MP one couldn't sync back with ED since it needs to authenticate for MP access anyway. It's whether it's an option that would benefit a good portion of the community or not. But then that would take away the simplicity of the logbook - so it may be better not to worry about it after all. I don't know. Just putting out a random thought.
