miguelotto Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) In my country, players have to pay more than 80$ if they want to buy modules on Steam which forces them to use standalone (not that I'm complaining). But some countries can buy the most widely used aircrafts like F-16 or F/A-18C for extremely cheap like Turkey. Even though on official discord it was claimed the prices will be updated every three months, I couldn't see it in practice. Is it due to some marketing strategy or simply forgotten? Because this system is unfair to a lot of people and begs to be abused. https://steamdb.info/app/411950/ F/A-18C base price 61% cheaper, also gets +30% discount regularly which drops the price to 396 TRY (21 USD) https://steamdb.info/app/1090850/ F-16C, exact same pricing with F/A-18C Also note that Valve gets a huge cut with every sale, further decreasing the potential profit. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 29, 2022 ED Team Posted August 29, 2022 It is a price error and I have reported it to the team all currency should match the USD price on our eshop, steam has to be manually adjusted for currency changes, some currencies flutuate a lot. edit: From the team Due to recent currency fluctuations the price of modules in some countries has increased and/or decreased. We are actively working to update our steam pricing in response to global events thanks 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? AdrianL Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Note that Steam will also add on any taxes applicable to the country over above the ED price so you cannot always do a direct comparison
