To enable the running of a dedicated server from within the client (see inside for more details)

Right now, we know that DCS is primarily running on a single CPU core.  When we run "complex" missions, my understanding is that calculations like AI pathfinding can lead to the CPU core being maxed out.

To get around that, a solution that some of us use is to run an instance of the DCS Dedicated Server to host a mission, and for us to then join that, even for single player missions.  That enables the offloading of AI calculations to another CPU core.

The issue with the use of the dedicated server for this are:

 - It's rather fiddly.  You have to use a command line option to start it and that is going to put some pilots off

 - Not everyone knows you can do it

 - It requires another 6GB of RAM

 - It requires the install of the Dedicated Server, despite the fact that I assume it uses most of the same files that the DCS client has

 - For missions that are designed with a "pilot", as against a "client", this won't work.  My assumption is that most of the campaigns are designed this way, which is enough to discourage me from buying them

My ask is that the DCS client is enhanced such that:

 - It can fire up the equivalent of a dedicated server, using a different CPU core

 - It eliminates the requirement for another 190GB install, and re-uses client files/data where possible

 - It's user friendly

 - There is some logic enabled to allow pre-built campaigns to run for "local play".  ie. I'm quite happy to have the server restrict the player count to one

I appreciate that this would still need additional RAM for the dedicated server, but I'm unaware of any other real drawback, especially if this is an option, and the dedicated server install is also available for those hosting using a dedicated PC just for the server.
