JoeyOG Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 (edited) Hey, I’ve been playing DCS for about 4 - 5 months. I started playing it on and off due to the issues I started having with it. My issue previously was about 30 minutes into the game (multiplayer server) DCS would suddenly stop responding, I would freeze and then if I click anywhere on the screen I get asked if I want to wait for the application to respond or close it. I reached out to Eagle Dynamics after having this issue and it ended up not really getting resolved. Later, I ran into a even greater issue. My DCS would stutter, about every 5 or 10 seconds the game would just completely freeze for a split second making it really hard to do anything and extremely aggravating. This is the reason I quit for a while. I first thought this was a ram issue since at the time I was running 2 kits of 8x2 of G.Skill 3600mhz ram. I tried setting the speed to 2133, 3200, and XMP profile on and off with zero luck. I recently purchased 3 different ram kits to test with, one being a kit with 2x32 at 3600mhz (corsair vengeance) this kit also had the stuttering problem, I also tried XMP profile on and off, set speed at 3600, 3200, and 2133 with no luck. I then tried my other 2 ram kits containing 2x16 each. With those 2 kits equipped, I still ran into this stuttering problem. I then thought that it could be a incompatibility problem since they were 2 different kits, so I only ran one of the kits (2x16 3600) and ran it at 3200mhz. This actually made me believe it fixed my problem since the stuttering went away! Later that night I tried getting on, and there was the stuttering problem again, also at around 20 or 30 minutes, my game comepletly froze and stopped responding resolving in closing the game. Eagle dynamic support also recommended some thing I should do with the graphic settings which I tried, like lowering the settings, turning off MSAA etc and nothing worked. I have also tried switching my page files to a different drive and turned it up. I have also tried reinstalling DCS with no luck. I’m just trying to enjoy this game, I’ve put so much money into this hobby because its something I love to do - I really just wanna fly man, this issue has been here for close to the whole time I’ve played DCS. My setup: GPU- Asus ROG Strix rx 5700xt CPU- Ryzen 5 3600 Ram- Currently running 2x16 3600mhz Vengence pro (I also have another 2x16 vengence pro, and a 2x32 vengence, and have 2 different 2x8 g.skill kits) If you have had this issue before please let me know if you figured out how to fix it or not, thank you in advance everyone - god bless you all. dcs.log Edited September 19, 2022 by JoeyOG
