Icarus2 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Everytime I start the sim after 5 seconds the rudder kicks to the right and locks. If I press my rudder left it corrects only to happen again and again. Any ideas what causes this? Saitek Pro Rudders.
beers Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Are you using the Saitek software to program your rudder or doing it via the in-game options? If you're using in-game, are you using the axis controls or the other controls? 2600K @ 4.2GHz, MSI P67A-GD55, 16GB G.Skill @2133 , GTX 970, Rift, SSD boot & DCS drive [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JonK Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Does your joystick have the twist assigned to the rudder? I found that BS assigned the rudder to both the pedals, and the joystick, causing some unwanted rudder action. 1
SunDown Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Def want to go through all your axis commands and clean up your assigned controls. There are alot of duplicate commands out there. C Co 6-6 CAV USLANTCOM
ZaltysZ Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Don't forget that pedals are also effected by trimmer. Maybe you are holding unintentional "heavy" feet while pressing trim button. Wir sehen uns in Walhalla.
PoleCat Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 (edited) Check axis commands and trim usage carefully as suggested above. Use Enter-Rctrl to view controls indicator check the rudder axis position in various stages of trim and flight. Out Edited January 5, 2009 by PoleCat http://www.104thphoenix.com/
JonK Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 In the controller assignments look at the axis assignments assigned to your joystick. If there is something for the rudder, other than the pedals, clear the assignment.
DEWorley Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 i believe that Vista64, if you're using it, stores your joystick files & campaign files in a seperate tree, 'user'/appdata/local/virtualstore/programs(x86)/. maybe your old joystick file is still there & affecting the game.
Prophet Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Are you looking at the correct Axis assignment? Arcade or Simulation?
scatter Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 The two modes have separate assignments. If you wish to fly in game mode you'll need to also change the game mode axes assignments (it looks as if you were changing the realistic ones). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Australian Air Force
