  1. This video pokes a little fun at the military online training curriculums, but it does have some good info for pilots wanting to tackle multiplayer in DCS. Enjoy. **updated sound levels and made spelling corrections** Everyone will need to watch the video and get their certificate to their section leaders. 2. Just posted an updated kneeboard plus the AH-64 Quick Start Guide Abbreviated Cockpit Procedures over on the User Files section https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321891/ Here are the PDFs if you want them for printing. 3. Try this. I have an HP G2 and I could really tell a difference. I have an older pc. Basically gets you off of Steam VR.
  4. Big thanks to ED for including the NGARNG livery. I was surprised when I seen the 130th in the drop down list. Awesome job!
  5. Just formatted the ED information provided in the DCS AH-64 Apache Quick Start Guide. They should get all the kudo's for providing an excellent reference. I just formatted it a little to fit my Army eyeballs. Update: Added DOPPLER and RADAR ALT checks DCS AH-64 Start Checklist.pdf
  6. The text reads... Page 97 in ref to TGT ....Each engine incorporates a TGT limiter within the Digital Electronic Control that will limit the engine to a maximum TGT of 867 °C degrees when under single engine conditions, or 896 °C when under single-engine conditions. I believe it should state...867 C degrees when under duel engine conditions. Thank you for everyone’s hard work. The Quick Start Guide is great and I really appreciate the team releasing it.

Can we post some sweet pics without the Work In Progress watermark? I think we are all tracking, its a WIP. Those are some sweet desktop backgrounds that are going to waste.... Looking forward to the AH-64, thanks for all the hard work. v/r
  8. This looks like me trying to land on a pad at a FARP. Who was filming me?? lol
  9. Very interesting thread. Thanks for posting your work. If the light is green on the map, do that include the airspeed switch to DISS-15 still in the down position?
  10. If you have a pinkie button, make it a Modifier in DCS. Go to adjust controls, make sure F-16 sim controls are selected. At the bottom, there is a button for modifiers. Add a new modifier. Make sure the X52 is selected, and pull that pinkie switch. It will now be a modifier. Its button 6 for me i think. From there, go back to the controls, and now you have twice the buttons. For example, the stick has two hats. My top hat is TMS, but when I hold my pinkie switch, its also my countermeasures management switch. Same for the lower hat. Primarily I use it for DMS but when the pinkie its my trim hat. It works great for me all over the HOTAS. I do have a profile I use, but its only for creating the throttle mouse axis into bands. I use that to slew my TDC. Let me know if I there is anything I can do to help. I have a X52pro, but I'll try. The software isn't very intuitive but let me know if there is anything I can do.
  11. If you use the Logitech software you can change the slider into bands. So you can slice the slider into three sections. When in the forward section it hits key, when in middle section it hits key, and same for aft. The challenge is getting that key to repeat. Example I slide it back I hits the speed brake key once. I’m sure there is a way to repeat but I haven’t dug into it enough. Just thought I would throw that out there. Bands is how I turn my mouse mini stick to a radar slew. If you want more info just let me know.
  12. Which ever set of ARK dials you want. I think if you want the gunner/operators ARK to work, dial it up and then hit the CTRL button. I think you have to tell the Hind which set (front seat or back) of ARK dials you want to to be in control of the needle. I think
  13. Are you hitting the control button on the ARK. It’s kinda in the middle between the two dials. That tells the system which ARK is slaved to the needle. Just curious because I’ve never tried it.
  14. Im not an expert by any means, but since you have to save and launch from the mission editor, I wonder if you cant edit the radio freqs in the editor. I'll try it and let you know. Thanks.
  15. Hi, I hope your flight training is going well. Its tough at the start, but hang in there, it will come. Just wanted to make you aware of CasmoTV and the Low Level Hell community. 16. Hello everyone. So I've been coming back to DCS and firing up the A-10C. I've been going through all the Maple training campaigns and having a lot of fun, but something keeps drawing me to the Mig-21. So this morning I went ahead and got it. Something about it, just an engine with small wings, fragile as tin foil and no tech makes me think I'm a TIE Fighter pilot lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning this historic aircraft. If anyone in the UK or USA wants to give me a hand, please hit me up. Thanks again
  17. I'm getting similiar "Stack" errors when loading the sim and when missions load. Removed and installed from scratch. No mods, just a clean install. Applied the patch, then the hotfix. I'm still getting "stack" errors. I think i saw a number or stack errors on me_vehicle.lua, but I could be wrong on the exact error. I just remember they all say Error-Stack. I apologize for not having any screenshots. I'm at work now, but I will get some tonight and post. I run Vista X64
  18. What a wonderful ride it has been following this sim through its dev process. Those of us that have tracked this wonderful sim from day one have been rewarded with one of the best sim experiences that is offered to the private sector. It started with the dev videos, then the flight manual download, and finally the actual software. It's been a great experience. Recently I've played around with some other flight sims, but I'm always drawn back to the Ka-50. And now as mods and tools are released by the community, this sim is finally taking it's place as one of the all time great classics. Are there areas for improvement...well sure there are. But they will be worked on. I flew a multi-player mission the other night. As I was sitting on the flight line, powering up my systems, I took pause in the fact that alot of people went to great lengths to make this possible. Finally as my APU came online and familiar rumble of the tubines kicked in, I just started to smile. If anyone is on the fence on purchasing this sim, I say do it. You will not be let down. You will crash, and you will curse as you try to maintain a hover, but you will love it in the end. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved SunDown
  19. I only use one button on my X52Pro mapped using the Saitek program. And that is just for Teamspeak PTT. Everything else I configured using the controller options in game. Just an option for you to try first.
  20. I don't know about that particular device, but I do know that having any type of sound force feedback increases your sim experience. I have my simpit arranged in a way that my sub provides a similar effect and it's pretty sweet. When those turbines fire up, and you feel it, it kicks ass (or butt). I would recommend it.
  21. Gentlemen, I'm a fan of Urze's collective and it's been working great for me. Just let me know what I can do for anyone and if there is a problem you want me to work on, I will be more than glad to track down a solution. SunDown
  22. Seems like its tied into the NAV switch next to the Main Hyd switch along the right wall panel. That is in addition to the K-041 switch.
