RealDCSpilot Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) Since the latest update my FFB stick has no spring effect in the F1, it works in all the other modules. Torbernite Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Same problem confirmed from my G940. 1 Does anyone see my FF Su-27? It's about 22m in length and 15m in width. It should be here! I saw it just now! Anyone touched it? What? I'm dreaming?
SeaFoam342 Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 (edited) Same issue here with sidewinder 2, maybe it is a sign proper force trimming is coming? Edited September 30, 2022 by SeaFoam342
kaiseracd Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 same issue too, with sidewinder ffb2. hope the bug will be fixed quickly. 1
RealDCSpilot Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 @Vibora Any info what's going on? Without FFB springs the module is practically unplayable. 3 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
kaiseracd Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 For now, I think you can use the simFFB plugin to have a spring effect with your joystick. I haven't tested it yet, but I'm testing this today, and if it works I'll state it here so that we have a working joystick until the problem is fixed.

RealDCSpilot Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 Ahrg, i hope Aerges is not taking the wrong road at the moment and tries to support Brunner devices when the community asks for more FFB functionality. @ViboraBrunner FFB joystick bases are not working natively with directinput FFB! (wich is directly implemented in DCS) Big difference! 1 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
RealDCSpilot Posted October 8, 2022 Author Posted October 8, 2022 @BIGNEWYWhy isn't this thread marked as 'reported' yet? They messed up a core functionality of DCS within two of the latest open beta patches already. Never seen something like that in 13 years (and i own all DCS modules). i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules

Are we sure this is only related to the F1? I.E. My MS FFB2 is limp until I enter the cockpit of a module. It didn't used to be like this, it did have the spring effect before outside of modules. Hmmm. Need to reboot Windows to see what's happening. Cheers!
RealDCSpilot Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 @MAXsenna Yes, it's only related to the F1. What you describe is totally normal behaviour for a good amount of time now. In the main menu springs are off, as soon as you enter a cockpit the spring forces become active (depending on the module, for instance, in a WW2 plane on ground - the stick will stay limb if you are not moving.) 1 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules

Right. Wasn't like this before, at least for me. Cheers!
Solution Vibora Posted October 20, 2022 Solution Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) FFB will be restored in next update. Edited October 20, 2022 by Vibora 4 Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
