help with neck safer

So i just discovered neck safer but the problem now is i can't make it work with the game no matter what i did, i have the standalone version and the quest 2 also installed both the steam and openxr versions of the neck safer and non of them worked

Are you running steamvr, or open xr natively, if not they won’t work.

shouldn't it be openxr becuase i have DCS as a standalone and the quest 2 uses openxr natively? if i'm not worng?

no... it uses its own implementation of openxr... not the same afaik

steam version of DCS is not steamvr don't get that twisted

so how should i do it ? because i tried to run the game with steamvr using skatezilla launcher it worked for once and never worked again after it

sorry I don't know the Quest side of the house at all.

I understand than in order to get the quest to use openxr via open composite you need to force it to use steamvr. Then you'll be able to use both openxr toolkit and xrnecksafer. I think it's something like " --force_steamvr" as a command switch on the executable.

Note that I use neither quest or necksafer so hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong

well i fixed it, it turns out that open composite wasn't working for some reasone for steamvr all i had to do is uninstall it and reinstall it again

I’m using a G2 and DCS Standalone with OpenXR. Can I not use this software?

I really wish that either of these necksafer utilities would work with the Vive Pro2!  My neck issues recently mean I need it badly!!

Me too. I just tried it last night for the first time on my VP2, but it crashed the new DCS MT OB on startup. Had to uninstall it to play DCS at all.

Any luck yet on your end?

I also had to uninstall necksafer in order to get MT to run. Bummer.

Unfortunately, XRNACKSAFER doesn’t work with VP2.

Haven’t tried it yet. I’ll give it a go and let you know.

So, the Index/VP2 version I have of VRNS certainly runs OK with DCS MT, but, the rotation points are off centre so not really usable.
