Hello,

I have a MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO and a TUF VG27WQ1B monitor. Both allow DisplayPort and HDMI connections.

What should I use for best quality and performance?

Try DP first.

That monitor on HDMI 2.0 supports up to only 144 Hz at its native resolution, while DisplayPort supports up to 165 Hz refresh.

Yes, I see that in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I'll try with the DisplayPort for some time and see if it works well 🙂

DP > HDMI, and is License/Royalty Free.

The only Reason HDMI Still exists on GPU's is because the masses would have a stroke, plus TV's haven't adopted DP's for Some reason.

I did see a BluRay player with a DP1.4 connector, but it was an off brand, saving some $$$ by not having an HDMI Port.
