I have had almost every sim to hit the market, going all the way back to when (Microsoft) Flight Simulator was started by a company called Sublogic. And that was running on my trusty old Amiga. Black Shark is hands down the finest flight sim I have ever (flown) owned! Period.

Actually you don't Own it. DCS lets you lease it.

another SubLogic pilot here & Amiga500 :)

guess I'm not that old afterall (43).........lol

When it comes to realistic flightsims I dont think 40 is that uncommon. Im 46, and fly this sim with overs over 50yo. It takes quite a bit of patience and research to fly rotor sims, which is often lacking in the young guns ;)

Then I'm an exception :)

25 here, flying sims on PC since Falcon 3/4, Janes F-15 era, circa 1998. Got the Longbow and EECH era too. Currently settled with Open Falcon, FSX with realism add-ons and, of course, BlackShark!

I remember playing subLOGIC Flight Simulator 1 on the Apple II in about 1980. Flying accross the great expanse of the grid world. Flying combat against the enemy WWI Dot!... great stuff!

Still have my Amiga 500 and F-18 Interceptor (stunning graphics at the time) and Birds Of Prey! I remember pulling in behind the tanker in Birds of Prey, low on fuel, only to have the tanker unexpectedly take an enemy missile and explode right in front of me! :joystick: Awesome sims at the time! Man they have come a long way.

I started flying lessons shortly after, in 1981. Lucky enough to make a career out of it. Now nearly 28 years and 15,000+ hours later I am looking at Black Shark and am absolutely amazed at how far the sims have come. BS is a stunning achievment.

If you permit, wings-level in western aircrafts is a specific attitude hold mode where you will get exactly the wings leveled with the horizon, like in the GA (go around) mode or just in the auto-level mode after a coupled ILS.

Something you can't get in SAS mode, you will then only have the flight director bars information in the display.

I'm don't want to be smarter than you but I'd would love to know where did you get that info, I know in aviation we have a lot of different names for the same (or almost) the same thing but we need to use correct terms.

Anyway I'm ready to eat my words if you give something new :)
