X_legio Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Hi there, I have installed the new update today and opencomposite stop works with the error "xrWaitSwapchainImage timeout" since yesterday all was superfine. Opencomposite is up to date and also the tools. I have unistalled all mods and make the full clean but nothing changed. Any idea ? opencomposite.log 1
edmuss Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Try to reset the global open composite switcher to steamvr and then back to open composite. Swapchain image timeouts can be any number of things though, requests have been made to increase the timeout value but not made it's way though yet. X_legio Posted November 17, 2022 Author Posted November 17, 2022 Made it, nothing change, I noticed that some missions will start and some others don't. That is the last log with an ah64 mission. dcs.log-20221117-201859.zip
zildac Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 I'm using the latest OpenComposite build with todays patch, and it is working fine. I'm using the standalone DLL however and using OVGME as opposed top the switcer. 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero

I use the DLL here: https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/download.php?arch=x64&branch=openxr And use OVGME (mod manager) to swap it into the DCS bin directory. 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
X_legio Posted November 18, 2022 Author Posted November 18, 2022 Nothing change, even if I put the DLL on bin folder..... Always the same error. Before the upgrade all was perfect. Any Idea ?
rmk80 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I got the same error just now. Never seen it before
X_legio Posted November 19, 2022 Author Posted November 19, 2022 Oh, at least I am not the only one. Please if you find a fix let me know. I tried to make a complete clean, shaders clean, with no solution. But I saw that with some Su25 mission is functioning without errors...

nic464 Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 I'm having the same problem. Some mission works some don't.
metzger Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 I have the same issue occasionally, so far only with Ah-64 and if I switch to steam, load the mission then back to OpenXR it works again. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nic464 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Anyone found a solution to this xrWaitSwapchainImage timeout error ? I get it everytime I try to run a High populated mission like Throught the inferno. If I disable Openxr and switch to steam VR it loads without error.
Thomas_LOLW Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 (edited) ...Same here - same error on certain MP servers. Unfortunately also on our squadron server - but interestingly, not always, on some missions it works without hassles. I have now switched to an older version of OpenComposite, which seems to help so far. Dangerzone Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 I was having the same problem. yesterday I updated to the latest composite drivers plus updated my NVIDIA drivers (they were a little on the old side) - and I haven't had a crash since. Not saying it's fixed the issues, but maybe make sure that Windows, your GPU Drivers and OpenComposite are all running the latest version?

I'm on Stable Release (2.7), so I don't know whether or not there may be a difference between the two versions that's causing crashes to still occur on 2.8? FWIW - I flew again last night after posting my previous reply and didn't experience any crashes (in 2.7) like I was the previous day before updating everything.
X_legio Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 No luck here also with an old version I have always the same error....
