hi,

lately while I'm playing DCS, my computer is shutting off instantly without any warning.

after that the only way to turn the computer back on is by unplugged its cable.

I thought, and it sound like, a hardware malfunction (an it might) but after running stress tests to my GPU and CPU (no shutting down occurred during those tests) its turned out that its only happen during DCS WORLD.

furthermore, when I'm trying to connect my VR, its happen almost instantly (as in opposed to no VR that this could happen after several of minutes).

thoughts on this issue from anyone would be much appreciate.

my specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz   4.01 GHz

RAM 16.0 GB

GPU : Gigabyte 1080TI

MB: Maximus VIII

thanks

Do you have another PSU on hand test? From limited info provided, it could be a PSU issue. What are your temps like?

Are you running the stress tests at the same time or separately?

if PSU is switching off and requiring a hard power cycle (unplug) to come back on, the PSU is either Overheating or being over taxed and shutting off as a precaution.

 ^^ this !

Something triggered a protection circuit of your PSU.

Change the PSU and try again.

thank you very much.

I have tried to run the stress tests together.

I'll try to locate another PSU, and try to isolate the issue from there.

thanks.

Yep, this. I wouldn't ignore that, it's just like the breakers in your house. If it's doing that, it means something is seriously wrong.

heat.  not only the PSU but CPU and GPU temps as well.

I bought a crappy case that touted great airflow, and had installed copious amounts of input and exit fans, but with all the cables and hardware disrupting airflow, the PC shut down under load without the PC side cover removed.
