Spino's Modern F-15 Mods

Currently it isn't correctly modeled, as is obvious if you look at it up close.  I am working on correcting that, my plan is to get it looking as much like this as possible:

sorry for the dumb question, but after I installed the mod into Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft and placed it on the map, it's still only AI, I can't take control of the EX, where am i screwing up?

I could be wrong, but I don't think there has been a fix yet for the mods that are based off the Flaming Cliffs F-15C, which are currently messed up in 2.9.6. For the moment, you can add a separate F-15C to your mission and if you hop into the F-15C first, you can then hop into the F-15EX.

I'm taking a break with all that's still broke, so I don't know if you can takeoff from the ground, but it will work if you start in the air.

You can take off from the ground, but you can't adjust the flaps and the landing gear won't go up or down.

It's not very much fun flying my favorite planes now! I wish they would get this fixed. But ED doesn't care about "unofficial" mods no matter how many of the community are flying them.

Enjoyed the watch.  Just tried air refueling with 1.8.5.7, works fine, no reason to think it wouldn't. Just though i'd check after your video.

Was that for player or AI?

Just tested it again after this latest patch (14 Aug 24//2.9.7.59074), works on both. Player and AI.

I d/l the latest model but can't seem to get into it...I set the option to 'player' but I can only look at it from outside.

Version 1.8.7 is now live on the User Files.  Basically this is an update of 1.8.5 with the F-15C PFM instead of the old broken SFM, fixed spawn issues, and redone MAWS fairing model.  Still uses the F-15C cockpit for now, but should provide a good quality of life upgrade until I can get Version 2.0 out the door.  I have encountered some issues with the AIM-260 missiles not alerting RWR properly, so I'm going to have to look into that, along with some other bugs that have cropped up during internal testing of 1.9, so the 2.0 release may be some time in the future sadly.

This is due to file size limitations on the DCS User Files.  Adding even one more livery puts it over the 300mb compressed limit.

Can I now fly EX in this cockpit now if the cockpit mod has been installed?

Maybe that would work if you installed musolo's cockpit mod that replaces the F-15C cockpit, so with 1.8.6 that should be possible if you have that installed, but it will be a single seat cockpit.  I have a two-seat version that will be included with Version 2.0.  It even includes an animated WSO in the back seat (though you cannot occupy the rear seat and multicrew will not be available).
