ShuRugal Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Gravedig, but relevant as this is an ongoing issue ever since DCS: World. This problem did NOT exist in standalone BS1
BaD CrC Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Yes. Super old bug. The only way to have a chopper not sliding (too fast) is have the boat stopped and no wind. (Hi shurugal!) https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
BaD CrC Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 For the fun of it, I found the first report of this bug by Mr Poly Roie himself in August 2012 (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92745&highlight=Sliding+boat) ! 1 https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

outlawal2 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 You sure about that being the first report? The OP posted this in 2009 so the bug has been out there much longer than 2012... :music_whistling: "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO
Erforce Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) Not sure it was there before 2012. "- Black Shark on any deck drifting proportionally to the speed of the boat. - Active since 1.2.1" and 1.2.1 came in early 2012, or just before. As i tested most bugs with multiples versions like 1.1.1.1 and 1.2.0 to know when they appeared. i'll try again on those old version maybe tonight, but it's one of the few bugs left over since ages, although i found last week that even if the ship move at 56kmh, the shark drifts rather slowly, with enough time to take off. requires more tests. EDIT : i'll will not try before 1.2.1 because it requires a new activation. My evening test today was successful. I 've put a wind to push me the other way my KA was drifting. Altough it was rock and roll, my chopper stayed on the boat. :-) Edited August 29, 2016 by Erforce TASK / ROLES acronyms guide Black Shark A.I. datalink guide illustrated (v1.2.4 Available on Wiki) DCS World Codex 1.1 : full units list (Speed/Weapons/Armor thickness/Threat zone/Weapon damage...) BaD CrC Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Pretty sure the bug wasn't there for BS1. And it wasn't there either for some time in BS2 until all hell broke loose for naval ops. Well, some things have been corrected though, like the complete desync of the boat positions in MP. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
