silent one Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Im using newest track ir software . I have updated the games list. Track ir is not responding in game. It works untill close to when the mission is loaded then the blue light goes off. Track ir on leaving BS is found to be not responding and has appeared to crash. using visa home edition. Have used this sim ok on an xp setup.
Shrubbo Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I have had these work before, may help you. 1: Turn TiR software off. Un plug TiR, wait a couple of seconds until windows recognizes that it has gone then plug it back in and let it automatically re-install the hardware. See if it works.. 2: Unplug TiR, Un-install TiR software, reboot. Then proceed as if you have just bought it and instal it with the latest stuff you have downloaded. Navman Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Similar problem here. Disconnect didn't work, nor re-install. Running Vista Home Premium 64 here. The TrackIR works, and is listed in the controls as a column heading, but there are no active fields in the column below it. Francois A. For some reason I don't think it is but don't quote me on that. So you say your Tir is working but has no active fields. The reason I ask that is firstly, I have never set up Tir in BS as such. But in Vista i got that problem that TrackIR hasnt recognised BS (no blue light, no response ingame). Ok, now i resolved this problem after running TrackIR software and BS as Administrator. Now it works fine so far, BUT.... now when running BS as admin im not able turn on the other 3 cores of my Core2 Quad 9550 for the BS task, i get an error in task manager when trying to do that. Does anyone have any advise for me how to resolve this problem? Because i have only 19 - 30 fps with BS running on one cpu core, and 35 - 70 fps running BS on all 4 cores. Now i have two choises: playing with good fps but without TrackIR, or play with slowdowns and TrackIR :cry:. hyperfighter Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 using alt tab, then crtl-alt-del in vista to access taskmanager to set affinity will mak tir hang: i found the following solution to this: first open taskmanager and minimize it, then start tir and then dcs, wait till u get in the mission in dcs, alt-tab and set affinity in the taskmanager, if all is welll tir shopuld still work now.\cepega, what comp do u have, i have amd dual core @ 3.12 ghz 4 g ram and a hd radeon 4850, and my fps sucks..i am getting a refund on this shit-system and was wondering what tot ake instead...

Yeah, .... and everyone says mondays are bad :D oh yeah i dont run em as admin only installed them as admin, still i think u would want the taskmanager window open before you start tir or tir wil hang when using ctrl alt del, and youll have to restart everything again, there is btw a tool that automatically sets affinity right for dcs but forgot its name, bet u can find it when u google it
