My theory is flying Iron. The same folks doing the A-7E. They are working on the F6F for a different sim, so they have the information and models it would be a simple matter of getting things up to ED's standards

Non male vedere l'F-6F Hellcat negli ultimi secondi. Nick Grey's ha parlato, in un'intervista, della realizzazione di un modulo dell'F-6F Hellcat e della funzionalità della portaerei per WW2 Pacific per DCS World e, successivamente, della realizzazione di moduli dalla Battaglia d'Inghilterra del 1940.

Se per programmazione intendi lo sviluppo e rilascio di scenari + velivoli storicamente contestualizzati (pubblicati insieme), questa è una politica che ED NON ha mai perseguito (fino ad oggi).

Che sia auspicabile/desiderabile che lo facesse è altro discorso (in ogni caso tutto da verificare quanto a realizzabilità, sostenibilità, ecc...).

DCS: F6F Hellcat

Also started in 2023, the Hellcat has made great progress. When creating the external model, internal structural modelling was created to provide a very accurate and realistic structure in order to enhance damage modelling. The flight model development is in full swing, and it is being created to match first-hand knowledge of its handling and performance in cooperation with The Fighter Collection.

The Hellcat will not exist in a vacuum though, and Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO) opponent aircraft are already in development, as well PTO specific ground and naval forces.

WWII Pacific Development progress

F6F Hellcat

The Hellcat is progressing well with the Flight Model receiving a lot of attention. The external model details are being polished with various liveries being created for the launch. The Hellcat was by far the most successful U.S. Navy fighter type of the Pacific Theatre of Operation with the F6F accounting for 5,163 kills or 56% of all aerial victories recorded by the USN and US Marines in WWII. Its effectiveness was outstanding with an overall 19:1 kill to loss ratio.
