Cavemanhead Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Building and may install OS as early as this weekend. I'm generally not one to use a new OS and particularly since Win 10 telemetry mess which I can only imagine is more so with Win 11. That said are there any arguments FOR using Win 11?

tomcat_driver Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Stay away from Win11! To make things "differentely", MS went like: This works, but oh well, let's change it, so it's different, even if it's just worse.
BitMaster Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 i maintain a few dozen PC's across multiple networks & homes, about 2/3 are Win11 by now. Win11 is no different to Win10 when it comes to everyday usage. I only install 11 on new machines, 10 only on those that can't install 11 due to Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. Tom Kazansky Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) A day may come when Microsoft kills Win10 with Direct Storage for NVME SSDs but this is not the day. I will stay with Win10 till 2025 because I haven't seen any big advantages for me and hope others are braver and sort things out at Win11 in the meantime. Edited January 12, 2023 by Tom Kazansky
BuzzU Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I'll stay with Win10 until i'm forced to update. Buzz
