Points not synchronized on CPG join

When points are created, they are not synchronized to a CPG joining later. This happened before the second person joined the server, not sure if that is required or if it's enough to join the aircraft late. This also happened with a cold start and on a dedicated server. To reproduce:

  1. Enter cold apache
  2. Start aircraft
  3. Create waypoints
  4. Have CPG join the server, then the aircraft
  5. Have CPG check points

Due to this being a multiplayer issue that happened during a long session, a trackfile is not available at this time. It will be provided once I find someone willing to make it with me.

When joining an aircraft, the control measure points are generated independently of the points already in the aircraft's system. This leads to a de-synchronization when the CPG joins an aircraft after the units for which a point has been generated have moved. Pay attention to the coordinates in the track files.

Server was me, in the CPG seat. Client was PLT.

To reproduce

  1. Create a mission with an apache (hot) and a ground unit that moves reasonably quickly and set it to be visible on the MFD
  2. Create a waypoint for the ground unit to move to
  3. Join the pilot seat
  4. Wait for the ground unit to have moved a noticeable distance (> 100m)
  5. Have the CPG join the aircraft
  6. Compare coordinates

  • FalcoGer changed the title to Points not synchronized on CPG join

Still an issue with latest OB. Saving points as pilot before the copilot joins or the CPG creating marking targets and then disconnecting and then rejoining causes them to default to the points preloaded into the aircraft at mission start & whatever CMs get auto populated.

Is this worked on still? Surely you reproduced it by now.
