Issue with HUD symbology

Hi, new pilot here - trying to learn the bomb modes and having a big issue in keeping the HUD symbology visible in the HUD when running in....its like I need to point the nose down to see it, but of course, I dont want to do that, as I need to be flying level....there seems to be a point about halfway down the HUD where the symbology dissappears......what am I missing?

Are you using the High Drag bombs? If yes, did you lower the HUD glass? How fast are you flying? 

Otherwise do you have a short track or something?

If you use HD bombs, fly not higher than 150m, fly not slower than M0.8 and lower the hud. Make sure QFE is set correctly in order to see the mark on target for correct timing.

Hi, yes, high drag bombs….I had lowered the HUD, was about .85 Mach. I will re fly a few times and concentrate on the parameters to see if that helps….thanks

There's an optimal height that depends on your speed. If you are too far above or below this height, the HUD symbols will drop lower. It takes practice. I spent time just flying around flat ground on a training mission with the trigger safety open, testing how the HUD symbols behave at different flight conditions and getting a feel for it.

Try adjusting the seat height? I have them bound to my pinkie switch and regularly use them to keep HUD symbology visible.
