Shibbyland Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 I was just about to buy the Mosquito but after looking at the bundles I see it's massively overpriced even on sale. I bought the P-47 only a few months ago (also on sale) which means if I buy the Mosquito now at sale price I will have paid $67 for the two modules versus the $50 bundle price. That's pretty on the nose. It'd be nice to see options for people to complete the bundle package without being penalised for already owning a module. Have opted not to purchase the Mosquito on this occasion as I just can't bring myself to pay $9 less than the bundle price for two aircraft to get only the one aircraft. As an aside. I recently got a visa gift card. It's not quite enough to purchase a full priced module down the track. Is there any way of loading money into an account so I can put it on then pay the difference down the track.
draconus Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 I'm perplexed by your logic. Either the bundle suits you or not. You can't compare prices from within or expect the bundles to fit to every case. Afaik E-shop support Paypal and Google Pay as an option. He wants to buy the Mossie/P-47 bundle but is it not taking into account that he has already bought the P-47. He expects the bundle price to drop. Steams does this. If you select a bundle that contains items you already own, it drops the bundle price to account for it. But the ED shop does not do this so he is out of luck. Would have to be a new wish list request, I suppose Edited January 29, 2023 by AdrianL 1

I don´t know what the rules are on steam, but for example, I own the F-16, the A-10II and the Persian Gulf map, but if I wanted to buy the Desert Storm bundle on steam, I´d have to pay the full price. In fact, I just tried it, I can´t even buy the bundle, there is only an option to buy as a gift.
AdrianL Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 The product has to opt in. Examples of a bundle that discounts like this is Euro Truck Simulator 1
Shibbyland Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 It’s a great deal if you’re new to DCS or you’re missing a heap of modules. The bundles are incredible for people who don’t own many modules. I tend to buy one module every sale. Not one of these bundles is an option and that’s fine but its just a bit odd that you will see discounts for getting black shark 3 if you already own 2 yet when it comes to bundles there’s absolutely no allowance at all. I don’t expect everybody will agree with me but I think there’ll be plenty of people feel the same way. I suppose just consider this post as customer feedback and do with it what you will. I want to buy the mosquito but this pricing set up has put me off. Maybe down the track a bundle will come about that I can make use of.
