Did the defensive perch now for like 5–6 times in a row now, and for sure get killed right away. One of the problems is, I assume. Paco shots, then announces it. Additionally, he shoots gun first and then the missile So, in 4 out of 5 I was already "down" before the whole thing started. Checked in TacView....it is guns first, then AIM 9 in these cases...and I would say first the firing starts, then the voice-over which, at lest for me, leaves no room to do the pull. I can live with the assessment that I over stressed the jet, even so it is just 0,5 a G, but the limit is the limit. Actually gave up on this setup and slammed my HMD in the corner. It is to be expected to get my ass handed, since I have problems to move like crazy with my HMD(VR), that why I usually stay away from BFM, since that is a young men's thing, but first shooting, then calling left me pissed. To make it completely sure, I'm not pointing fingers, since we all know what AI can do. Since nobody else complained so far, it might be and most probably will be something I do wrong. 1

I can tell it to attack but how that’s performed is up to the ai. I’ll try to fiddle with some settings. i could remove the bullets, but after the first shot I want Paco to be able to use his guns. Did you stumbled over some voice over / timing problems in this regard as well? I calmed down a little and will hop in DCS soon and check if this is really the case, or if my mind makes things up. I did start pre-flaring when he called out 5000' (or whatever the second range call was), because I knew (from my previous attempt - DCS crashed while loading the next set) that when I heard him call "Fox 2" it was already on its way. I've got a question about the time frame within you are supposed to kill Paco, in both defensive and offensive perch. Both times I got an "Average" with the only remark being "took a little too long to kill the bandit". How fast do you have to hit him to not get this message? While also staying within 6.5G. It's not that I dragged this out into an epic dogfight. While I can see where I could have been faster during defensive perch (I chose an energy fight as we were already in a two-circle due to the setup), I thought I was pretty damn hot during offensive perch. My initial AIM-9 actually hit him, then I high yo-yo'ed, held him in lag (above canopy bow) for half-to-two-thirds of a turn to set myself up, pulled him into the HUD for a guns kill. "Knock it off". I'm ->this<- close to skipping ahead to mission 7, but I'll miss out on two-circle and butterfly set.

Those are the most fun ones! BTW I managed to get Paco to fire a Fox 2 first ( even though his task already specified to attack you with Fox 2s, but now it works) I'll submit the change to ED 2 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

It is either that he guns me down, sometimes he refuses to engage at all and if everything works like planed I over G the fucking jet. Before I break some of my equipment I will take a break from this, or just skip it, Not sure Did this single setup now at least 20 times and the best I could do was a below average for over stressing (which is fine and deserved). What frustrates me most is, that I have to sit through the instructions every time, just to be hosed down like 10-12 time out of 20. 2 - 3 times he decided not to engage, even so the geometry looked the same, and the rest I just over stressed the jet. Got a stiff neck already, since it is really not fun in turning my neck like in Poltergeist, guess I'm already too old for this. I will go and release some steam now. One thing for sure....you get a lot of emotion free with this campaign and all this bitching has nothing at all to do with this great campaign, but rather with the stupid no-AI. When he calls Fox 2, throttle to idle, pump those flares (!!!) and 6g level turn. Sometimes you'll get hit, don't worry about that. In real life these shots, hits and misses were only called. I did upload the video and will let YouTube do his thing to it. Get ready to bash me, there is some very nice sub standard flying to be seen. But one thing for sure. I'm too old for BFM.
