Save all controls mapping at once

Would be nice when mapping controls and you “save profile” if it would save all controls for all your devices,  instead of having to save each device/ column individually. Unless there is a way to do that already and I completely missed it

I’ve never figured out what Save or Load Profile actually does.

I think it would be better to have a profiles called common or default controls helicopter and air plane- where you can set the most common controls which can be used to populate all the modules.

For example the helicopter would have

pitch, yaw, roll, toe breaks, right throttle, left throttle (The left would be assigned for single engine planes) trim- up, down, left, right, target designator slew, trigger, weapons release 

then helicopters we would have collective, cyclic, throttle, rudder peddles and so forth

I have never bothered with profiles. The input folders for all aircraft and devices can simply be copied. Saved Games\DCS (or DCS.Openbeta)\Config.Input

Individual devices can be restored if needed by copying the relevant folder for that aircraft and device (e.g. Throttle - HOTAS Warthog...)

I do both currently, save each profile and then copy the user input file from saved games to a second location. I lost all my map points on 4 aircraft one time… just once!… redundancy

I now use JoyPro to manage DCS controls, which saves its own profiles. I also have two installs of DCS (Openbeta and Stable) and have a batch file to copy controls from one to the other. So I think I am covered if something terrible happens to my controls in DCS!
