So I was wondering why things were different with DCS as I was flying, checked all my special menu settings and many had changed from what I had carefully set.......this seems to be in the laste week, but possibly after last update.....anyone else notice this?

And can ED make this NOT happen? Its seriously irritating

It usually happens when a login fails. Did you have any failed logins or error codes for authentication?

Its always worth making a backup of your config folder somewhere just in case.

unfortunately this is something that happens in complex software designing. i am a sys admin and we keep change logs for all changes. to alleviate the issues with dcs is i keep my own change logs including screenshots. this also occasionally happens with nvidia drivers. an update will introduce a change, being a removal or an addition of a feature. dcs is trying to improve and this happens. windows 10 to 11 is a good example.

How many times of the login failed attempts will make DCS wipes out the user configs? Thanks.

I think any single failed authorization would cause DCS to quietly wipe out all unauthorized modules settings from the "special" tab. Normally they are saved with other options in the main 'options.lua' file in your DCS settings directory (Saved Games\DCS\Config).

Would be nice if ED finally fixed this.
