broderbund67 Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Hi, I did a flight at 20,000ft, wind 284-062. Flying hdg 325 the sonic boom occurs at M1.05. Flying hdg 159 it occurs at M0.93. I would expect the sound effect to happen at M1.0? See attached track. Nealius Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Bumping this because there's still something not right with the sonic boom effect. It should occur at M1.0 but it often occurs at M0.96 or thereabouts, regardless of module being flown.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 19 ED Team Posted August 19 Hi, It might be a mismatch between atmosphere models used by the sound engine and the aircraft. We will try to reproduce. thank you 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
