need track replay Auto Pilot HSEL not working randomly

Has anyone also encountered the same issue? HSEL not working randomly? Or it won't be activated under certain condition? 

The colon mark is lit as [ : HSEL ], sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't work.

If it's colonized then it should work.

It cannot be activated if bank exceeds 70* and/or pitch exceeds 45*

If you try to activate it with a certain pitch angle, HSEL will become colonized, but the aircraft will maintain the current attitude until it intercepts the selected heading. It might look like nothing is happening, yeah.

If none of these applies to your issue, then please reproduce it and post a track.

had the same issue earlier. HSEL on, Heading input set and it wasnt holding the heading. i could ease the hornet left or right and it would not go back to the input heading in HSEL, all of this while HSEL was colonized.

Do you still need a track? HSEL has been flaky for quite awhile now, at least a couple of months. Sometimes it will hold a heading, sometimes it won't. Seems to be most consistently bad at capturing and holding the bearing if it's close to your original track. For example, if you are headed 083 degrees and you set heading to 085 degrees. Going from, say, 050 to 085 seems to work much more reliably.

Was just checking on the status of this bug as I had the TACON-freeze bug occur when flying approach into Incirlik just now, and couldn't get the jet to hold a heading while I manually entered the lat/long.

I have never experienced an issue with HSEL (and I use it a lot).  I have had issues similar to the above if my joystick was not exactly dead centre, and had to turn on small deadzones to deal with it (I don't think it should be necessary to do this, and that instead the A/P shouldn't lock out on very minor joystick deflections off-centre).
