Varjo VR New user Disappointing

Just received varjo VR headset and sadly i am returning it.  Can not get it to work correctly with DCS; from what i read before purchasing all the complaints were stuttering, basic performance issues.  that is not the case here as i have adequate pc for vr, ddr5, 4090...

I cannot get over the cross eye'd gameplay, cannot click on anything in the pit without having to do guess work.  your cursor is always 1inch to the right.  the setup for the beginning of just 1st starting the game i had 2 cursors?

I tried following some of these guides here, great work and helped, but seems some of them are outdated or there is still 6 or 8 different ways of who knows what works or doesn't, none of them seemed to fix the cross eye'd thing for me it was just extremely way to difficult to focus in the pit on aircraft around me where a 2d monitor w/ the f-16, f-18, or apache HMD doesn't bother me at all, but in VR i cannot even play the game, its just way to difficult to focus.

 

i used oculus DK2 when that first came out and only issue ever with that was the picture quality.  varjo is amazing in quality but its hard to see anything or use when the HMD is hard to focus or cannot click on anything w/out spending 5-10 seconds for every click. sadge.

If you follow the setup tips for new owners tge missalignment will dissapear. 
it is the standard Varjo setup that causes this.

Read the setup information in post 1.

I suggest beginking with B steam openVR.

the setup is easy to follow and the win in experience is very good.

Firstly, follow the instructions in the first post of this thread to take care of the cross eye alignment. Pay no attention to the WMR comment.

If you're using DCS OB I would personally go the native Open XR route using Varjo Base OpenXR and install the wrapper to sort out the cockpit cursor misalignment. There is zero to no benefit to using SteamVR unless you rely on tools such as FpsVR. Furthermore as I recall you will not require the cross eye tool this route.

It should work without you having to do anything.

The fix is super easy , DCS looks amazing with a Varjo and a 4090, so dont give up.

I suggest just using the debug tool to fix the cross eye alignment and then using Steam VR to get your feet wet with the headset first.

No need to make it more complicated than it needs to be for a first time user. One can always explore some of these other options laater when more familiar with the workings of the headset.
