Proteuswave Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Hi. Not sure if a oversight or intended but a large aircraft like a KC-135 cannot get a parking slot at Groom lake AFB. Please advise thanks. Flappie Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 (edited) I think there is not enough room for such big planes. See how wings get close to each others in DCS compared to real planes seen on the same spot (I'm not sure what plane type it is but it's a twin-engine). Edited March 6, 2023 by Flappie ---
BuzzLine Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 They might be 737s flying for JANET airline. Old timers who flew FSX back in the days might remember that there was a mission flying one of those shuttle flights between Las Vegas and Area 51. 1

In testing with Civil Aircraft Mod, its B737 can start from Groom Lake's spots A06 / A07 / B01 / B03 / B05. Historical Wingspan values related to USAF: DC-9 -30 (C-9 / VC-9) = 28.5 m Gulfstream G550 (C-37B) = 28.5m B737 NG (C-40) = 34.3 m or 35.8 m B757 (C-32) = 38.0 m KC-135 = 39.9 m C-130 = 40.4 m C-17 = 51.8m B757 is also in Civil Aircraft Mod and it cannot spawn in Groom Lake / NTTR. 36 ~ 37 m width is set as a limit of its spawning on spots. I feel that map design realistic. 3 Modules: A-10C/II, F-4E, F-5E(Re), F-14A/B, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV-8B, FC3, Ka-50-2/3, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, SA342, Mi-24P, AH-64D, CH-47F, P-51D, F4U-1D Maps: Nevada, PG, Syria, SA, Sinai, Kola, Afghanistan, Iraq, CW Germany, Channel, Normandy2.0 Assets etc.: CA, Sc, WW2AP Mods and Skins in User Files: files/filter/user-is-western0221/
