ThorBrasil Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) No MT plus SSAA 2x at 1080p resolution, vsync on. With MT plus SSAA 2x at 1080p resolution, vsync on With MT plus no SSAA 2x at 4k resolution via DSR, vsync on. You can see that the FPS drops. So it should be with SSAA because SSAA and DSR have practically the same performance. Remembering that the DCS with MT I had a gain of approximately 10FPS in that same mission. DCS without MT, vsync off. DCS with MT, vsync off. AlexPlorateur Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 This ! came here to report the same thing. I would have liked to use SSAA since I gained fps with MT, but it just doesn't work anymore (no mods installed, full repaired etc) i5 12400f - 6750xt - 24gb ddr4 - ssd - 1440p monitor
regulus6633 Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 I fly in VR and wanted to report the same thing. With the improved performance I'm finding in the MT version, I tried SSAA instead of MSAA. I turned MSAA off and set SSAA at 2. My performance improved with MSAA off/SSAA on and I saw lots of shimmering on buildings in the near distance. Turned MSAA 2x back on and SSAA off and the shimmering went away and my performance dropped as expected.
Solution Art-J Posted March 19, 2023 Solution Posted March 19, 2023 Yup, a known issue currently: i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
