I was caught off guard by not having to eject. in this instance I was able to land.  I was able to trim it out but then after a very little bit, maybe a minute, I had to trim it out again and again and before I knew it the trim Dial was as far as it goes and I now had to compensate with the side stick.  is the trim getting worse supposed to simulate something? is that how it is in the real world?  anyways very nice to see the viper progressing.

has anyone else noticed the changes to the flight model the past two updates? I'm taking a wild guess here but I'm thinking that they did something to the drag model.

I can't for say for sure if I was or wasn't losing fuel because I didn't check but I did a little bit on the way home. there wasn't  any Vapors coming off the plane. but that would explain why I had to continually trim the plane.

another awesome upgrade that I found is that with the targeting pod we don't have the invisible wall at 40 miles. I saw at least 60 miles today and I didn't try any further because I was in the middle of something.  I have the targeting pod saved to the Waypoint before the 40 miles that way when things come into Focus I am able to go to work immediately. when I slaved to that Waypoint and saw I could see to it I immediately jumped to the F10 map and measured the distance which was 60 miles give or take a mile or two miles.

I just tried the targeting POD at 70 miles and you can see the area barely I had the area on a Runway and it's like after 60 to 65 MI the area gets dark but I could see the lights on the runway and a building in between me and the vehicles I was looking at.

if I had to take a guess ED s expanding the boundaries of sensors for the coming of the Strike Eagle!

Did something hit you? Because even if small caliber fire hits you in the wing, you lose alot of structural integrity. And a 4g turn will make your wing look exactly like yours. I had it before

unfortunately i was being reckless while taxing and pulled 5g in a 2g turn.  i have had the wing catch on fire before but, it looks like there is more that came off from the little damage when that would happen before last update.

another thing i have noticed that when you start to g lock it is off to one side when it happens, instead of perfectly in a circle. it also seems like g lock comes on sooner and faster than before.

You a) lost part of your lift on your left wing and b) your loadout is asymmetric with the right wing being heavier. The faster you fly the more lift is generated on the right, intact wing so you have to trim right. When you slow down for landing your starboard wing doesn't generate so much lift anymore so the weight has far more impact on your trim causing the right wing to come down and you have to trim left. Without any speed and so without any lift the right wing would be 90° downwards (like in a 90° bank angle) taking into account the less mass on the damaged port wing and the additional ordnance on the right wing, so constant trimming is needed and perfectly (?) simulated.

To counter this you might switch your fuel->engine feed on the left console, in this case I would turn the switch from "NORM" to "FORWARD", sucking the right wing tanks empty first. You can observe how much is already pumped by checking the two hands dial ("F" and "A") on your right console "Fuel". Beware that might shift your center of gravity, as these are combined "forward and right" and "after and left" tanks!

If the left wing wasn't damaged you would just have to check for the remaining dummy Sidewinder's weight and suck that amount from the standard left/right fuel tanks difference but usually any A2A ordnance is no factor for trim adjustments. I do this when I got a few heavyweights left on one side of the wing. An asymmetric landing can be quite demanding...

a) How can you pull 5g while taxiing??

b) How can you pull 5g in a 2g turn?

for question A and B I am not really sure how I did it but showed I did in  TacView .

just kidding

I was using that phrase as a figure of speech, I was just trying to say that I took a corner a little faster and sharper than I should have.
