Would you consider a voice actuated system for controlling dcs functions in the game?

I go from my hardware, to third party software, program that software to what I "hope" will be understood by the dcs software that I just programmed...and a lot of the time it does not work.

Especially with the "menu \" function.

Plain spoken "built in" phrases that dcs world clearly and natively understands with a standard mic input, would be fantastic.

Also a user interface to change phraseology as needed.

At the end of the day, there are MANY more command functions that I need during game play than I have buttons, switches, dials, and sliders on my mouse and hotas setup.

Have you tried RAlt + \
As this is actually the comms command. Backslash only is for ground comms.
Also if you use VoiceAttack, you can add VAICOM now that it's free.
Should help you a lot with the radios.

Cheers!

That’s pretty cool. But what would be better is an AI voice chat for things like radio menu ATC and wingman commands etc. I’m sure the future of this stuff is where you just talk to the AI in the game. Having voice commands for items you can just click on doesn’t seem so useful. Cool, but not really useful.

Hopefully the dev of VoiceAttack is looking into AI integration. That'd be so much better.
